The four villages of Funäsdalen, Ramundberget, Tänndalen and Bruksvallarna sit at the head of the Härjedalen valley, sharing a 145 km piste network from a base of 668 m up to 1,097 m. Ramundberget often opens in October, giving the area a reputation as one of the most snow-sure in Sweden. The terrain is heavily blue and red, well-suited to families and intermediates, with serious off-piste options for those who hire a guide. Around the lifts you find the largest reindeer-herding district in Härjedalen, kåta huts, and a fjäll landscape of open tops rather than dense forest. Inter-village bus links and the joint ticket make it genuinely possible to ski a different sector every day. Evenings stay quiet, with a handful of restaurants, the Funäsdalen folk museum and the long ridge of Funäsdalsberget rising straight behind the village.
