Ski-in/ski-out

True ski-in/ski-out at the 1,750 m base, where the cluster of hotels sits directly on the lower pistes and lifts of the Ski Center Latemar.

Get to know the resort

Pampeago is the quiet middle door of the Ski Center Latemar, the 50 km circuit that links Obereggen above the South Tyrolean valley with Predazzo on the Val di Fiemme side. The hamlet sits at 1,750 m on a sun-trap shelf with a direct view onto the Latemar's pale Dolomite teeth, one of the most theatrical backdrops in the range. The skiing is on the Dolomiti Superski pass, which means a single ticket also opens twelve other resorts down the road. The piste mix here favours intermediates: 15 blues and 15 reds spread across wide, well-groomed runs that read like motorways for confident skiers, plus 3 blacks for those who want bite. The Olimpionica II red, dropping off the Agnello ridge, is the local benchmark, fast and continuous. The 18 lifts are mostly modern and short queues are the rule even at Italian holiday peaks. Pampeago itself is essentially a cluster of hotels at the base, so the rhythm is on-snow by nine, lunch in a rifugio with a panorama, and home before the lifts close. The season runs from December 7 to April 14.
