Get to know the resort
Tarvisio sits at the three-borders corner of Italy, Austria and Slovenia, a small Friulian town under the pilgrimage chapel of Monte Lussari, with around 25 km of north-facing piste dropping nearly 1100 m back to the valley. The aspect and proximity to Atlantic weather systems make this one of the snowier corners of Italy, and the cross-border atmosphere brings Slovenian, Friulian and Austrian influences to the local food and language. Easy to reach from Klagenfurt or Trieste, it is one of the last truly cosmopolitan corners of the Alps.
