Get to know the resort
Les Angles looks out over the Matemale lake from the high Capcir, one of the sunniest corners of the French Pyrenees, with 55 km of piste threading down through pine forest from 2400 m. The mix is unusually complete for its size, from a dedicated beginners' area to genuinely steep blacks off the Pic de Bernard Etienne, and the tree cover keeps things skiable in poor light. The village is relaxed and Catalan to the core, with a small wildlife park and an easy, family atmosphere far from the Alpine crowds.

- The lifts typically turn for about 17 weeks a season, planning around late January to late February tends to land the most reliable cover.
