Get to know the resort
Port del Comte spreads across a broad, sunny massif in the pre-Pyrenees above Solsona, making it one of the most accessible larger ski areas from Barcelona. Its 50 km of piste rise to around 2400 m over open, gentle terrain that is ideal for families, beginners and cruising intermediates, with wide views over the Catalan plains. It is unpretentious and good value, a reliable choice for a day or a relaxed weekend on the snow close to the city.
Good to know
- The terrain is well balanced: 8 green, 14 blue, 14 red and 5 black runs, which suits a mixed group skiing together at different levels.
- From 1700 m at the base to 2400 m up top, the resort leans on grooming and snowmaking in lean spells (score 78/100).
- With 50 km of piste on 16 lifts, it is a mid-size area, easy to get to know in a long weekend.
- The lifts typically turn for about 17 weeks a season, planning around late January to late February tends to land the most reliable cover.
