Get to know the resort
La Molina holds a special place in Spanish skiing as the country's first resort, with lifts turning here since 1943, and it remains a sunny, welcoming place to learn. Its 70 km of well-groomed piste roll down from the 2537 m Tosa d'Alp and link over the top with Masella to make Alp 2500, around 140 km in all. The train from Barcelona stops right at the foot of the slopes, making it one of the easiest big resorts in the Pyrenees to reach without a car, and a reliable family weekend favourite for Catalans.
