Moments from the lifts in Ischgl, so you can ski back to the door and skip the morning queues.

Two Austrian party giants, two different mountains. Ischgl serves high, snow-sure cruising with mega concerts and duty-free Samnaun, while St. Anton delivers steep Arlberg freeride and slope-side legend.

Pick Ischgl if you want guaranteed snow on wide intermediate pistes, world-famous concerts, nightclub-style after-ski and duty-free shopping across the border in Samnaun. Pick St. Anton if you crave steeper slopes, serious off-piste and freeride, and the raw, traditional Arlberg vibe with its legendary slope-side bars.
Ischgl and St. Anton are both Austrian after-ski legends, yet their mountains diverge sharply. Ischgl runs from 1377m to 2872m across the 239km Silvretta Arena, which links into Samnaun in Switzerland for tax-free shopping, and its high, immaculate, mostly wide intermediate pistes earn a strong 91 snow score. St. Anton sits a touch lower at 1304m to 2811m but unlocks the vast 305km Arlberg, with a 92 snow rating, far more steep terrain and some of the best lift-served off-piste and freeride in the Alps. On atmosphere, Ischgl feels modern and engineered, famous for huge season-opening concerts and a nightclub-style party, while St. Anton keeps a more traditional Tyrolean village character and raucous slope-side bars. Both are pricey, lively and very well connected, with St. Anton reachable directly by train on the Arlberg line. Choose Ischgl for snow-sure cruising, spectacle and duty-free, and St. Anton for expert challenge and classic Arlberg soul.
