Pejo

Pejo is a quiet, traditional Val di Sole village tucked inside the Stelvio National Park, where the lift to the Vioz glacier climbs straight to 3,000 m. From a base at 1,400 m, the small but high Pejo 3000 area offers some of the most snow-reliable skiing in the southern Alps. No chic, no nightlife, just glaciated peaks and empty pistes.

Ski-in/ski-out

Pejo is split between the lift base at Pejo Fonti and the older village of Pejo Paese, a few kilometres lower. True ski-in/ski-out is essentially limited to a small cluster of hotels around the Pejo 3000 cable car station; everywhere else relies on a short walk or the local shuttle.

Get to know the resort

Pejo sits at 1,400 m in the upper Val di Sole, hemmed in by the Adamello-Brenta and Ortles-Cevedale massifs and entirely surrounded by the Stelvio National Park. The ski area is deliberately compact: nine lifts and around 30 km of pistes, with 8 blues, 14 reds and 5 blacks rising from forested lower slopes to the bare, glaciated summit at 3,000 m. Altitude and a north-east aspect give it a snowScore of 85 and a season that runs reliably from early December into April. With so few skiers, even a busy holiday morning feels like a quiet midweek elsewhere. Off the snow, Pejo keeps a strong sense of mountain identity, with the old village of Pejo Paese, the Pejo thermal spa and traditional Trentino cooking. It is family skiing in its calmest form, with the high peaks of the Stelvio as the backdrop.
