Ski-in/ski-out

Alagna is a tiny, atmospheric old village at the foot of the Monterosa lift; most hotels are in or by the village, a short walk from the gondola.

Get to know the resort

Alagna is one of Europe's great freeride hideaways, a perfectly preserved Walser village beneath the south face of the Monte Rosa, the second-highest peak in the Alps. The cable car climbs to 3275 m at Punta Indren, opening some of the longest off-piste descents in the range and a link into the 180 km Monterosa Ski domain shared with Champoluc and Gressoney. It is small and quiet on the surface but globally famous among skiers who chase big-mountain lines, with a helicopter just up the valley for the truly committed.
