Italian Alps, Italy 🇮🇹
Pinzolo sits in the Val Rendena at 770 m, a working valley town with a gondola climbing the Doss del Sabion and a lift link over the ridge to Madonna di Campiglio. The Adamello-Brenta peaks rise on both sides, and the joint Skirama Dolomiti pass opens around 150 km of piste for a fraction of the Campiglio room rate.
Usually, with help. From 770 m to 2100 m the resort leans on grooming and snowmaking in lean spells, so check the live report before booking early or late dates (score 78/100).
This is more of a valley base than a slopeside village, so expect a lift, train or shuttle to the snow each morning. Staying central, near the main lift, saves the most time.
With 100 km of piste on 22 lifts, it is a mid-size area, easy to get to know over a long weekend. The terrain is balanced (0 green, 30 blue, 25 red, 15 black), which suits a mixed-level group skiing together.
Pinzolo stands out for a family-friendly setup and a vast, multi-sector domain.
The season usually runs Dec 7 to Apr 14 (about 18 weeks). For the most dependable cover, the deep-winter window of January to February is the safe bet. Conditions soften as spring arrives, so earlier in the window is the safer call.
