The Oberjoch plateau hosts a cluster of hotels set directly on the piste at 1,130 m, making it one of the best genuine ski-in/ski-out addresses in Germany. Hotels in Bad Hindelang itself, four kilometres down the pass road, rely on a free ski-bus that runs every fifteen to thirty minutes.

Several hotels along the Balderschwang valley floor and a handful of pass-side houses at Grasgehren sit directly on or beside a piste, with skis on from the door in good snow years. Most of the wider hotel stock is two to ten minutes by foot or free ski-bus from the nearest sector base.
