Panorama is a purpose-built ski-in/ski-out village tucked into the quiet Purcell Mountains above Invermere, in British Columbia's Columbia Valley. With one of the biggest top-to-bottom vertical drops in North America and a cluster of slopeside hot pools at the base, it pairs serious mountain stats with an easy, self-contained resort feel.
Generally yes. From 1150 m at the base to 2450 m up top, the profile holds snow well across a normal winter (score 82/100).
Most hotels sit right on the snow front, so this is genuine ski-in/ski-out: park once on arrival and ski from the door, with no daily driving or shuttle.
At 135 km of piste on 10 lifts, it is a substantial mountain that rewards a multi-day stay. The terrain is balanced (19 green, 45 blue, 26 red, 39 black), which suits a mixed-level group skiing together.
Panorama stands out for a family-friendly setup.
The season usually runs Dec 5 to Apr 12 (about 18 weeks). For the most dependable cover, the deep-winter window of January to February is the safe bet. Conditions soften as spring arrives, so earlier in the window is the safer call.
